Exactly what I'm talking about wrt EMC being in the forefront in storage development. Where are IBM, Compaq or Dell here? I'll tell you...IBM fell asleep at the wheel, Compaq, who knows, and Dell (in storage) is a rookie trying to find out which end of the bat you hold.

EMC understands RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability) from their mainframe experience. IBM does (invented the term), the others, I doubt it. RAS is now up there with function and performance as the single most important criteria in this business.
