Hi Clarence,

re: the Datakeeper from Powequest. When we got the release a couple of days ago it certainly peaked our interest.

We'll be picking it up shortly, and I'll let you know what it's like, and how it turns out if you want. (At least on a 95/98 box)

Richard

>>As Powerquest users (ie Powerquest newsletter getters) any thoughts on PQ's 'Datakeeper' continuous backup sw?<<

From the Powerquest write up: "Backup data is compressed using the highest compression rate available."

It sounds like if you look at the file they create there's no break-down of folders and files. If you only needed to restore just one file (or folder) how would you do it?

Clarence,

I'm confused. DI only runs under DOS. you can install on NT or 95 but the bottom line is that is only runs from under dos. The new backup product looks interesting but is new and unproven and doesn't work on NT.
