We are quite possibly beginning another correction- but CIEN is not a stock I would short or buy puts on because it is so easily moved by rumors and God help the shorts if one of those pans out.

Let's do the math. Losing $1 a day. At this rate, we will go to zero before the mergers are completed. Thanks to CIEN management for doing this to us. I won't sell at this price. Yes, it might go back to 17, 14, 8, or back to high 20's again.

It sucks and looks like the overall tone of the market is very poor. Don't know your basis so can't advise as to what I would do; sometimes I'll just let things run with the plan that I'll sell out if it goes down to my cost and take a breather. Personally, I bought Cien for a long-term holding (years, years, and more years), if it doesn't get acquired in the meantime. I know there could be some periods of it being dead money but I can live with that. Been burned too many times trying to time things. Have the primary reasons why you bought Cien in the first place changed fundamentally for the negative?

Good luck.
