I did notice that his home state's legislature voted down money to renovate his boyhood "home" just before he went down there to dedicate it. Of course, the media dutifully reports that was not a snub.

I guess they realize a waste of money when they see it. But that won't stop Slick from honoring himself:

I wonder what they'll renovate in Hot Springs, where Slick spent his formative years. There must be some gambling parlor/cat house that is of interest and needs some work.
