No I'm not on Bezos personal list of most ardent admirers. I think Bezos has put Amazon on the top of the minds of Americans interested in the Internet - a great accomplishment for a start-up. But once they have achieved the position as numero uno, the perspective has shifted from that of the underdog to more like that of the ecommerce giant. They still retain most of the cache of the netset trend-setter but are much more vulnerable to criticism: such as the expose of their money for favorable mention scheme. That mistake has put Amazon's hallowed agenda somewhat at cross purposes with the good will of the customer. Eventually Amazon will have to focus attention on maximizing profits rather than growth and a large portion of the virgin mystique is likely to be lost in the harsh light of big business profit motive.

Good to see you made some money in EFAX. They say "it's never a bad take to take a profit". There are too many things I can look back on in hindsight and wish I had sold sooner or held onto.
