"I realize it didn't show any anticipatory upswing" that is the whole point our our earnings plays.. If they show no anticipatory upswing they are to be ignored and I have reiterated that no less than for the last 2 years. We have intraday updates at least 1/2 dozen times a day where the stocks are called as the hit 'buy' signals or at the very least as they approach buy territory (i.e. close to technical buy signal) There will be laggards of course, in fact I fully expect 15-20% of the stocks to go absolutely nowhere.

there is no human alive that can have a 'watch list' where every stock is a buy. There were lots of plays that were 'called' giving buy signals and they were reiterated on the daily watch list and/or the next day as continuing holds. If your stock stays down and you buy then something is wrong somewhere and you are not charting them correctly or following signs of volume/price increase and signs of breakouts
