To All, bits and pieces. 1. Kumar came out negative on Compaq today, lowering his quarterly eps estimate by 35%.

2. Somebody came out negative on Lilly today. Hooray! It is about time that they see what I see. <g>

3. The Chaste and Merrill merger story is going around again. When spreads die in financial markets, the only way to hold off the inevitable is to grow larger. Big risk for a low odds small return. The market, of course, loves it.

4. I have removed the Arc buy/writes and spread conversions in my IRA income accounts. I still have the long stock in cap app.
