Religious Broadcasting Community Places
Additional $800,000 Orders

BLUE BELL, Penn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1999--Acrodyne Communications, Inc.
(NASDAQ: ACRO - news), announced today it has received two more Diacrode transmitter
orders, valued at approximately $800,000, from the religious broadcasting community demonstrating
the total confidence that these broadcasters place in Acrodyne's products, services and technology.

Including the order announced earlier this month, valued at $1.5 million, from Sinclair Broadcast
Group, Acrodyne has now received a total value of $2.3 million for its Diacrode powered
transmitters in the first few weeks of fiscal year 1999.

A. Robert Mancuso, President and CEO of Acrodyne, stated, ''We are pleased that this important
part of the broadcast industry continues to rely on our products and technology, and these orders, in
particular, confirm the increased acceptance of the Diacrode-based transmitters.''

American Christian Television Services, Inc. placed an order for a 40 kW Au40D Diacrode
transmitter to be installed at WTLW-TV 44 in Lima, Ohio. A spokesperson from the organization
disclosed that one of the main attractions that Acrodyne offered is the scalability of its products that
permit direct product interchangeability with the DTV line of products. Installation is scheduled for
May.

Christian Faith Broadcasters, Inc. also placed an order for a 50 kW Au50D Diacrode transmitter
for WLLA-TV 64 in Kalamazoo, MI. The station management stated that the Diacrode technology
offered by Acrodyne is clearly the one most suitable to fulfill its requirements.
