Marc: "One of the more comical is this Ameritrade commercial where this woman is running around with her kids and then says something like mommy's got to make a trade and then jumping up and down because the market's up and then makes a trade on some biotech stock."

Yeah, and near the end her air-head friend sits there in amazement and confesses to something she has has never told the Ameritarde hot-shot before about herself. With a stupid grin, she admits she owns mutual funds like it was something to be ashamed about.

Russell 2000 support at 389. We are at 397 or so. If it breaks hard below that support, large caps will go down in an overall market correction IMO. Russell 2000 could go the other way which would be very positive for overall market but I believe the former scenario is more likely.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

It's a big warning sign when the stock-market becomes the subject of jokes... People are so "sure" that it will keep on going up that they don't mind making fun of it. Everybody understands the jokes and everybody is comfortable with it and everybody is having a good time...

A reading of history shows it clearly -- the stock-market was the favorite topic of many a stand-up comedian in the late 1920's.

Marc,

>>>
Also it will give me access to all those 2-beta funds so Lars won't be the only one getting those barrels of gains or he may still get a barrel of gains and I'll be heading for the soup kitchen.
>>>

I would exercise extreme caution with those funds as you already know. I closed out my UltraBull position awhile back. Mr. Market was kind enough to give an approximately 40% gain in a matter of a few months. Too much greed is not good. HA.

I only implemented this with a minor part of my portfolio. Thus Mr. Market couldn't hand me my head on a platter if the he continued to go against me.

I was lucky too. The market made the speediest recovery in its history.

I am still a 2 Beta Brinkerhead in my heart just not in my portfolio at this time.

Note: I caution anyone about using these funds. They are very risky.
