K - had both exercised options and bought shares.

Yeah, at what price? About the 0.29...at least they have a low number to shoot at. 0.29 shouldn't have taken the stock from 51 to 30. If they make the number, the stock should get back into the 40's anyway.

They are leaving themself some room for the upgrade to STRONG BUY after earning is out. $.29 is too conservative. CPQ will make .$35 for this quarter.

The high-end sales now represent nearly $10B of revenue for CPQ, so being "slightly ahead of plan" here could cover a lot of misery in the mainstream business.

CPQ executives have only a brief window after earnings so buy or sell stock. Maybe that's what he meant by "ownership policies".
