donnie: <purchasing short term OTM calls> Hi Donnie. I've been out for a month. Last time we spoke, I forgot to ask you whether you buy these. Seems to me it fits in with your trading, and I've been looking at it, basically for leverage with steady but slowly rising issues, and because I've done well with timing in general.
''''' Have you found that they're just too cumbersome? Do they just "hold you up", when you could be scanning elsewhere for a good trade? My thinking is that by sticking with short term contracts, and taking losses when they occur, that the results could be the same as trading the stock, but with more leverage. I also see rolling to "in the money" calls, mainly as a temporary but convenient way to borrow cash on a particular position--- to release money (cash flow)for some other (unrelated) short term "trading opportunity".
'''''Looking forward to seeing you again. I've been out of touch, because I needed time to think, and because my elder hospice patient/friend finally did pass.
'''''Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
