Can't think of the name of the company. They were located in Portland OR. Shortly after Microsoft announced they were going to license the back-up and defragmenter of this company, to be included with Windows, the company was bought out by Symantec.

Trivia:

>>>>I'm asking because I'm looking for a back-up program who's results look like what's being backed up (same folder names, same file names and you can go in and grab what you need).<<<<

FWIW I've found the name of the company and product that I was thinking of. Company: Central Point Software Product: PC Tools

Turns out they were in Beaverton OR not Portland OR.
