Do you have any idea of what you are talking about ?

Obviously not!!! The Petronius deck is at the bottom of the
Gulf of Mexico in over 1,700 feet of water. Every major pressure
vessel on the deck has imploded. This much was discovered when the ROV went down to take pictures of the structure last December.

The deck will not be salvaged, however, the MMS has told Texaco that they have to remove the structure even though it is not a threat to navigation. The only thing theuy have not determined is the date Texaco has to remove the object. It could be now, but more likely it will be when the platform is decommissioned twenty years from now. The feeling is since it is not a threat to navigation, what's the rush.

It's idiots like you who we don't need on this message board.

I guarantee work will be started on the rebuild of the Petronius
deck in GIFI's east yard before 7/1/99.
