I don't know whether streaming media far afield for Yahoo, but it's not what they do now. I think Yahoo could easily undertake an acquisition of Broadcast.com (Amazon, too) and it would make sense.

CMGI's effort is just-announced and more network-television like. In fact they hired a recent NBC Network president with programming experience at Viacom. I think that kind of centralized-programming model is a mistake. Although there are plenty of events that would appeal to niche audiences and attract advertisers, production expense is huge.
