Actually, cody, there are steep hills in the city, since rolling hills descend to the confluence of the Potomac and Anacostia. In fact, at some points, say about the middle of Wisconsin Avenue, one might think that D.C. is a kind of inversion of San Francisco, with the hills on the periphery instead of in the middle.

By the way, as I have mentioned in the past, St. Alban's, which is connected with the National Cathedral, is the most upper-class school in the area. To be the son of a Senator and attend St. Albans is to be at or near the height of Washington "society"...
