I mentioned Windows Nt 4.0 as an example, and as a reaction to your post. With my response I meant that generally upgrading operating systems over thousands of computers in an enterprise is a project in itself, and not carried out lightly.

This also applies to other operating systems IMO (some of them having less, some of them having relatively more Y2k problems. Older versions of UNIX come to mind for example).
