Michael,

As you must be aware, many stocks trade with P/E multiples in excess of 100, others with multiples that are undefined because of a lack of earnings.

What caused you to pick Intel as the sole target of your puts ?

What am I missing ?

So far, something over 5 points on your 115 puts.

Best Trading,
X

What you are missing in the FTC consent decree

is that Intel is not being branded a monopoly. IF they behave themselves and do not try to drive AMD into the ground with predatory pricing then just maybe the Feds will leave them alone. I don't know if Intel is smart enough as a company to avoid that.

==================
On the topic of Intel sales and AMD. Your bleeding edge "geek" pals are probably running AMD's, because like me (3-K62-333's,2-K62-300's) they like to get more power for the money. However the market for AMD products in the corporation is still confined to the desktop because AMD hasn't been able to get into the small server market whereas Intel owns that market. Most of my friends are waiting for the K7. In the meantime it is Intel that makes the money here.

What both proponents of Intel and AMD need to understand is that both companies can co-exist in a growing market. When we get into a recession it will be a different matter.

The economy right now is good.
