Shut downs are covered in my agreement by a rental payment
if they are delinquent on that payment they would forfeit
the property after a certain time, minus reclamation costs.

The definition you are talking about is best dealt with by
taking a pen and crossing out everything except the first
sentence, Royalty: No Cap on Deductions from the Royalty
payable - they will scream about this and you might allow
them to deduct at least tax, but you can probably get away
with that if they want the ground bad enough.

Walt, if you don't want to shake their hand don't sign the paper.
