You are doing a great job. Was doing some digging myself today but didn't come up with much.
This article fits right into the picture but I must correct you:
It doesn't just smell right, it outright stinks

CORRECTION:
I said in an earlier post that a decision on jurisdiction would be made today. That was a misunderstanding on my part. It was the hearing that took place today. No decision expected until next week.

Interesting, Mike H. Feuds and political struggles.

It looks like Indian Gaming is rife with internal and external political power struggles. It looks like Monteau, as head of the NIGC, preferred to side with the status quo economic powers at Leech Lake rather than with the democratic decisions of the Band. I'm inferring from that action, and from Monteau's hasty switch to private legal practice, that he remains keenly aware of which side his bread is buttered. I hope the GLB understands that his mercenary side makes him loyal to only one master.
