No, seriously, its "Cromatic Laminar Epitaxial Chrystalography", a technique that is soon to replace DWDM gratings (Bragg, etc.)and permit much finer segregation of lambda, allowing simultaneous transmissions of either 512 or 1024 separate wavelengths in the 980-1625 nm range.
