We'll all be thinking of you on Tuesday Jan.
Here's your reading list to keep you from going bonkers while you are recovering:

The Roaring 2000's by Harry S. Dent
He does a good job explaining the demographics behind our goldilocks economy and why the market will be trending higher until 2008. He makes a great case for internet stocks.

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre.
The story of the greatest stock trader of all time, Jesse Livermore.
Mr. supply & demand himself. He spots the smart money on the tape and follows it. A very entertaining book.

Hi Jan,

Thank you for sharing your difficulties with your back. It goes without saying, that this thread attracts a rather eclectic group of people and this is one instance where I think we can do more than send you "best wishes". I for one believe in the "Collective Consciousness" and that we PnFer's can help. What do I mean?

If you give us the exact date, time and place (city) of the surgery, we can all focus at the same time, our prayers, white light, good vibes, kind thoughts, whatever on your success and speedy recovery. Plus, if Tommy can help sell brownies in his daily report, it should be a snap to recruit him for this project so his readers can help as well. So Ms. X are you willing to take another calculated risk and add a little "alternative therapy" from around the world to that high priced medical care you have planned. I can personally guarantee that intermixed with all those prayers there will be a fair number of X's sent your way as well.

Dave

Wow, Jan. 13 replies to your post already. I wonder what the record is. So many responses, we can start earning grubs on them. <g>

You are truly one well-loved lady. And our collective spirit directed at your recovery should speed things along.

I hope someone will pull posts off this thread for you, as our messages will continue in force daily until we see you back online.

God bless you and keep you in his care. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Profits on CMGI should cover what the insurance doesn't cover. <confident grin>.

Dennis
