What gives with the $120 price?

Well perhaps you remember what MSFT did back in the Fall. IT wouldn't go up for months. The logjam was finally broken when SUNW and AOL announced the Netscape deal. That broke the effect of the anti-trust trial. Then you couldn't hold it down.

Somehow the market has convinced itself that there is a box slowdown and they are waiting for Intel to report bad things. Anything potentially bad will make them wait to buy. Only something good (such as some hint that PIII sales are off to a good start) or some "market leadership" (as in a buy program that drives the stock up 7 points in a day) will change things.

So far they have ignored all the year over year sales news, general economic news, and now we can see if they ignore the book to bill news.

Meanwhile they are buying oil, banks and Dow blue chips?

Go figure. Idiots. Powerful idiots.
