I see where you are going here. You must first separate the principle supporting the death penalty from the implementation of the penalty. I would rather have you admit that while the death penalty is in principle correct, you cannot support it since you believe its implementation hopelessly flawed. This is reasonable, though I would also suggest that before you simply dismiss the penalty you first consider whether there are instances where it can be well implemented. I believe there are.

There is no doubt whatever about what Adolph Hitler did to humanity. He should have been destroyed.
