OT for Anne Stheley........................... OSX is doing great and I would like another close up here to move my target to 78 on OSX, overall market. I think (fwiw ggg) setting up to go higher, that is what I am reading from these various indexes. DDX I think SEG QNTM HTCH are good, I have seen great erosion in my core holdings on disk drive exposure, but I traded DDX down to 89 I think and than back up, so right now 155 a double close above this is a good buy. I have this 2015 on NDX if that is taken out on two closing basis I will like to be very light in the market, we may see up or down days but we are certainly going to see upwards of 10,000 soon and that if coincides with 2150 on NDX we will have a explosive combination.. I will take Paris any day. I will be soon travelling for few days. Paris is a great city but a lonely one too when family is back here, the kids are doing their final A levels in Maths and Statistics they have already pased in Accounting and Economics. They are also busy with MCSE courses and have already passed the part 1 exam, the other day Zack qas proudly displaying his MCP certifcate to me, by the way he is only 14. Opportunity is immense but if someone is prepared to take it but otherwise for majority the national pass time is to worry about the global jihad. The nation has this streak to try to carry the 'revolution' on their shoulders like Iranians did that and realize after 20 years that it is integration that worked and not seclusions, this raises the question in my mind why to test issues already experienced by other nations, have revolutions in Iran and Afghanistan brought anything else but discrimination against woman and minorities, should this self killing streak of destruction not put to an end, it seems no. If collective will is bent to enjoy life after death than development economist have no business left in such countries for them that last battle to be won is more important than to care about that last loaf of bread which may just no be htere very soon. On the other hand Pakistan provides me with that reality check of who we are and how important it is to see that what God has given us is a blessing, the kids enjoy the life here it is simple and we learn a million things every day. In Paris, I forget that something called 'misery' is aslo a part of human family, here I see it every day what shocks me is the rousing welcome to misery we buy it and we cherish it most unfortunately. We waste our resources and we never seem to care! We have these huge water resources and we are largest importer of Wheat in South Asia that troubles me, imagine importing 1 ton of wheat is like importing 1000 ton of water, we throw 40 million cuseces in the sea and are not prepared to build huge reservoirs for next ten years. Our destiny is so clouded with this lack of food and declining resorces that it sends shuddrs down my spine. Two things are common in societies where they fail one is lack of education for children and inability to harness resources, on both counts we are falling behind. Name few countries where primary enrolments are lowest I will show you the countries which ended up in civil wars, you don't give education to the kids they get guns, the techniclas of Somalia are the by product of collective failure of leadership and management. I look at Somalia and Afghanistan and Sudan the failed states and worry about my home country, are we going to just disappear in dismal poverty and famine, kids with tended belly's and Bob Geldoff "we are the world is the ultimate fate' of the nations which fail, the waiting vultures ready to pounce on famine striken dying kids is my memory of Somalian mismanagement, it is not that our countries are not blessed rather it is failure of management, the holy wars carried in name of God, the petty disputes to be settled by blood thirsty criminals like Laden and others who sit and try to control like medieviel times the disintegrating fabric of our society. Religion become's supreme, pain and dying becomes a passion and we say that we are living for 'Allah' that battle never semes to end? As if Allah has ordained a collective 'death warrant' for us, we are resigned to the fact misery here for heaven in the next world, a tradeoff we are happy to live with! For me those who perish from mismanagement are 'stark reminders' of flouting a basic law of nature which says if you want to flourish, learn to harness your potentials. That is one small difference that makes up for a failure or success. I just feel that I need to play my little role, I carry a lot of guilt for that failure, but where I see a diffeence can be made like 'primary eduaction' I try, otherwise like a coward I run to places finding solace, defining market directions but in my hearts of hearts the one market direction I will like to make a final call is wake up call, but no one care's and I will be in Paris far from all of it. I do care about the future of my country, and it saddens me that we are not 'learning and planning' to become free from wrecthed poverty and the shadows of 'intolerance'. It all looms high, just a thought, sharing with a close friend, a little window of my daily life, trying to make that difference between great prosperity and total anarchy, the difference it seems too difficult to bridge, if I stay here or Paris. However I try and still keep on trying. I will take Paris any day but I wish I could do something to let these people know wake up and make change we can do it, it just few of the top people who need to realize it. I keep making those impassionate appeals,I have my own programme on the TV called 'Economic Notebook' where I highlight the problems we will face as a nation if we fail to plan for tommorrow. Our leaders cannot see beyond their noses it is the Harvard trained one's like Benazir they have been the biggest disappointments. Sorry about all this, markets look like going higher they tried to break that 1300 on June contract but could not and rebounded also 2420 was held very nicely..I think Oil stocks will do well and I would only get out of them if OSX 55 is broken this tme for that happen Saudi's need to open up the tap, even opening up of tap has its own benefits it will land biggest contracts for companies like RIG and SLB since Saudi's s would need to expand their production capacity if Oil will be supplied without quotas.
