Bob,

I've read Ross's book "Trading is a Business" and it was truly an eye opener for me. As with his other books, it is oriented towards futures trading, but the principles explained and insights offered are universal. The first section deals with self examination and one's mental attitude towards trading. The second section deals with the mechanics of trading futures. There is something for all levels of experience. IMVHO, I think it's a must read. He tells it like it is.

Sure, the price was a little steep compared to other books, but in the whole scheme of things, I'd say it was pretty insignificant.

As for market timing, I've been studying Point and Figure charting using Tom Dorsey's book/web site. PnF seems to give solid buy/sell signals and is really simple to implement. That appeals to me.

I look forward to your observations on the two books you ordered.

Best regards,

Dan
