Yes, I do think that Abbott is looking for a big acquisition. That's been the trend amongst the big pharmas. Bayer is also in the news lamenting the slim pickings of companies big enough to be worthy of their attention. FWIW, though swallowed a couple times, no one has yet digested Monsanto. Dekalb and Pioneer Hibred are gone; surely MTC will get prettier as we near closing time. There is a discussion of this and a much bigger list on the munch thread. Message 8372776
