Winning is only part of the game (maybe I'm not a born, cold trader). You should have fun along the way. I look at it this way. True SIers as addicts (in a good way). They just love to learn about companies, new technologies, the world, ideas, trends, etc. If not, buy mutual funds and index funds and go off and do the things you love. I love the market and doing research -- pure and simple. If not, I wouldn't do it. How about a nice, sappy new age aphorism -- do what you love and the money will follow...
