Zead,

we know that SOMEONE is sharpening his pencil right now...and trying to figure out how to counteract the OEM mention..... Since there are OEM's, unlike what this particular person would lead people to believe.

FWIW, at Office Depot tonight in the Raleigh area, a table display at the front of the store was being restocked with parallel port Zip Drives, $79.99.

Linda

NEW BEYOND PC APPLICATION

More and more seem to be coming from small agressive co's.....they may force the big guys into doing the same......BTW maybe not as it pertains to zip........but at least some the ideas of these small, often startup companies are either going to be stolen, bought, or copied by the big manufactures

Apple started in the Steve Job's garage.

Very interesting

........but still no drive from IOM that can play a full length movie........Maybe Nomai's DVD tech......

The also make AudioRequest.......you can play "CD'S", not Zips, that have MP3 files on them.....current reagular audio cd player cannot.

Seems to be an aggressive startup company.

I can just see the EXPONETIAL GROWTH EXPLOTION, in disk sales, iom is just beginning to exprience.........this co could make > $1.00 eps for 2001..........imho

add a PE of 20 and you . $20 stock price.......a 3 bagger in 2 years, from where we are now that's 300%.........ahhhh maybe I'm gatting carried away...............
....maybe not. IOM has been oddly silent in recent months. But don't forget
record / play
Nomai CD-RW product
New 2 gig single platter disk
cliked mp3 player agfa internal clik ( maybe at CeBit, Agfa is a european co.)
Internal 250
...and others available but not yet know to the street........like the internal zips in Panasonic (MKE)....Remember them?........Copiers

The chart IMHO, is begining to look like a coiled spring ready to explode at any "BIG" news.

PS FWIW,

If iom wants to get big in the business market .......they have one very big problem......businesses don't buy new computers every 1.3 years like consumers do.......there is a massive existing installed base of business machines that is Zipless.

IOM should strike a deal with a co like Unisys or Computer Concepts to resell and instal IOM internal drives or sell externals to their BIG corporate customers......who use loads and loads and loads of disks. Zip disks can become a commodity for biz IT.........but they need Zipped machines first.
