Just read your email and it sounds like a good plan. The problem
with having a "high profile" on message boards is no matter
how many people like you, there's one person out to get you.
I seen too many online "stock leaders" under heat in the past
5 years.

What is the ultimate ? The ultimate is making money in the
stock market without being influenced by others OR recommending
stocks to others on public message boards. If you can make money
on your own, forget about all these people ! You need to ask
yourself if you need the headache or the money <hee>

Isn't that the ultimate ? Make money for yourself ? That is a low profile situation, no risk. I like giving out stock tips to my close friends so they can make money and since they are my friends I know they won't cause a stir. Another possibility is to establish your own
private email list of people you know and trust, forget about posting
stocks on public message boards, another low risk scenario.

Another possibility when posting recommendations is to follow large
cap stocks, it is less likely that a person will be labeled a P&D with large caps vs. penny stocks. Sure you don't make the gains as
a penny stock (unless you play options <hee> )..

If you ever want to follow large caps and make recommendations, you
may be able to avoid conflict if you make "ball-park" recommendations
vs. absolute. Instead of saying "BUY INTEL at $110 and sell at $120"
which is absolute, make a recommendation to "Accumulate INTEL in
the $95 - $110 range and take profits as needed". Another possibility
is to say "If I had the money, I would buy Intel 5 points below
the 50 day moving average and sell 5 points above".

It is all games.. mind games !! Never say anything absolute, you
can get into trouble. Believe me !!!!!! Example, when I am bearish on a stock that I can't comment about publicly, I may show up on that thread and say "Looks like the tech stocks are headed for a correction, what do you think ?" VS. "SHORT XYZ, it's a piece of crap!! I have a friend that works there and this quarter sucks bad !!!".. <hee>
