Steve, I would think down, but I am not sure why they need that money. They are not short of cash,it must be for something pretty big. It will bring 50 million dollars to HLIT,what could they possibly be planning? I am going to call Mike Newman tomorrow to find out what is going on,if I can. They have not preannounced anything,I think this money is for a significant expansion. Remember T is really pushing TCOMA to upgrade, and I know they are having a hard time with production of MetroDWDM for them. Maybe the onslaught of orders is just too great, and they have to expand too rapidly. Remember CMCSK,Charter, and RCNC are new customers for MetroDWDM products also. I think this is a good sign, too many orders to keep up with. Are they possibly planning a buyout of someone like ORTL?

Satellite Internet Service Providers can Use CyberStream to Deliver High-Speed Internet via EUTELSAT's European Network
HANNOVER, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1999-- Here at the CeBIT 99 Fair, New Media Communication, a subsidiary of Harmonic Lightwaves, Inc. (Nasdaq:HLIT - news), today announced that its CyberStream(TM) DVB/MPE compliant data-over-satellite system has been officially approved by EUTELSAT, a leading pan-European satellite network operator.

EUTELSAT's approval covers the CyberStream end-to-end line of products: the CyberStream Data Gateway TRX100, the CyberStream SAT1 PC/PCI satellite receiver card and the Enterprise1(TM) router/receiver for corporate LANs. This approval enables service operators using EUTELSAT's satellite network to provide high-speed Internet access and other data services via CyberStream.

''After a vigorous certification process, we have verified CyberStream's compliance with the DVB-DATA standard and we are happy to recommend it to our customers who are providing Internet and other services over our state-of-the-art satellite network,'' said Antonio Arcidiacono, Head of Multimedia Services at EUTELSAT. ''Working together, we enable service providers to offer an array of compelling data services to meet the needs of businesses and home users across Europe.''

The CyberStream satellite communication system is an end-to-end solution, from the data gateway transmitter at the satellite uplink, to the CyberStream SCPC/MCPC receiver cards in home users' PCs or Enterprise1 router/receivers in corporate LANs. The system supports data transmission speeds of up to 48 Mbit/s and it fully complies with the DVB/MPE-Data Broadcasting Standard (ETS EN 301 192 V1.1.1) and MPEG-2 standards.
