As an epistemological exercise, yes, although it would be fairer to use the word "compare" rather than "equate." And, as it is an exercise, I have no stake in the outcome, either way. I think the Broaddrick charge, if it is to work some good, requires such comparisons be made.

In case you did not follow the link I included, please note that the source article was a Washington Post piece on Kitty Kelley's Nancy Reagan: The Unauthorized Biography. They found much of what Ms. Kelley included to be of dubious substantiation. Their doubts extended to Selene Walter's allegation that Reagan had raped her, as was apparent in the excerpt I posted.
