Jeff, just a point of clarification; there is really no disagreement between us. That is, I was NOT suggesting that BS pounce on Madison Avenue [which is good, because from what I understand, it would be a long, cold day in hell before that would happen--entirely contrary to the man's style].
Perhaps I could have stated it more clearly this way: G* kind of lucked out with the Zenit fiasco. Prior thereto, it was a horserace to see who would be "first to market" with the implicit assumption that the first comer would have huge advantage. It seems to have worked with Amazon, but first comers don't always go home with the spoils (like the old joke: how do you recognize a pioneer? He's the guy with an ass full of arrows!)
Well now G* has been given a graphic lesson in what not to do--one that I'm certain will not be lost on them.
P.S. Having ridden LSI from 38 to the mid-teens and now back to the high 20's w/o selling a single share, I am practicing avoidance therapy. I have one of those "alert reminders" set up on Schwab, and if the damn thing comes within hailing distance of my entry point, it's hasta la vista, i.e., no I am not recommending it. Best, Mike
