Ouch!!....Jabil Circuit Expects 3Com Business to Fall, CEO Tells CNBC

New York, March 18 (Bloomberg) -- Jabil Circuit Inc. expects business from 3Com Corp. to fall to about 5 percent of Jabil's revenue this year from 18 percent in the year-earlier period, while business with Cisco Systems Inc. will remain 20 percent of revenue this year, Jabil President Thomas A. Sansone said on financial news network CNBC. Sansone said he doesn't see any weakness in the technology sector, and expects business to be ''fine'' and ''on track'' for 38 percent planned operating income growth for the year. The year 2000 software bug won't influence the company's spending or affect its communications business, which is about 40 percent of Jabil's operations, Sansone told CNBC.

St. Petersburg, Florida-based Jabil Circuit is a maker of circuit boards for personal computers and other devices.
