Elwood, I tend to agree with you. Even if they are in 'the quiet period', a miss of $.13 would be considered a 'significant change' in business conditions and, I believe, require the company to issue a warning, even if it was within days of the quarterly report. This might force them to say it ain't so... if it ain't so. JMHO Ben A.

Well El...one thing's for certain (I think....) Now you will see how washed out Compaq can get....after all, who is hanging around now, except for long-termers...(after today...) I still think Compaq is going to make its number (somehow)...just don't know how, yet...Odd, that Kumar went for .20..that's pretty drastic....if Compaq comes anywhere near, they sure as heck better warn here soon...that would be a PR disaster (may already be) if they don't.. Kumar might be looking for some attention here....His call on Gateway (.90) is also extreme....It is still troubling for me, however, because one of the things that made me feel good about the quarter was the fact that Kumar had not torpedoed the quarter...
