RESEARCH ALERT - Egghead.com started NEW YORK, March 18 (Reuters) - Piper Jaffray on Thursday said it started coverage of Egghead.com, an Internet retailer of software and computer accessories, with a strong buy. -- sets price target at $28. -- sees per share losses of $1.62 in 1999 and $1.65 in 2000 because of investment in growth. -- sees 1999 revenue of $144.4 million and 2000 revenue of $201.6 million. -- Egghead.com was trading up one at 17-15/16 in heavy volume early on the Nasdaq Thursday.
