VANCOUVER, WASH. (March 18) BUSINESS WIRE -March 18, 1999--Egghead.com,
Inc. (Nasdaq:EGGS), a leading Internet-based retailer of personal
computers, software and other computer-related products, announced
today that more than 10,000 GeoCities members have registered to be
affiliates of Egghead.com in the first ten days since GeoCities
(Nasdaq:GCTY) announced its newly created "Pages That Pay" program.

"We occupy one of two exclusive positions created by GeoCities for
computer hardware and software," said Jon Brodeur, Egghead's chief
marketing officer. "'Pages That Pay' is giving us the ability to
rapidly expand our developing affiliate program due to the fact that
GeoCities has more than 3.5 million members."

"Pages That Pay" creates a means by which GeoCities members receive a
percentage fee for sales resulting from the referral of another member
to a merchant site. (See press release

"We only pay marketing costs if products are purchased," Brodeur said.
"This adds a high degree of efficiency to our marketing program."

As part of its Internet shopping site, Egghead (www.egghead.com)
operates one of the largest auctions on the Web as well as the
SurplusDirect liquidation center. Both potentially will be available to
generate sales to GeoCities homesteaders and monthly visitors through
"Pages That Pay."
