>Death penalty - government sanction of killing a citizen through the criminal courts.<

This is merely a group of people getting together to on a principle decide whether a man should die.

>Killing Hitler - what? civil disobedience? Hitler was the legitimate head of the German state.<

A group of people should have gotten together to on principle decide whether Hitler should have died. Indeed this happened, and those people were justified. I simply argue that they by virtue of the principle I have outlined, were justified in assigning the death penalty to Adolph Hitler or those who with no mitigating circumstances removed all from other human beings. I argue that the death penalty in some cases is justified.
