Why don't you give them a call and ask? Phrasing questions differently often yields slightly different information.

From the questions Lynn asked, they said they could issue a press release if they were going to beat estimates or meet estimates. Don't know why she didn't ask - "Can you issue a press release if you're not going to meet estimates?" But the answer is - of course they can!
