Well in that case you'd like Preferred...although their system does not give you a realtime P/L either, and you have to mess around with it to find out what you bought something for (at least I do). This and the stop thing are the only faults. On the other hand Preferred can be expensive, depending on what kind of securities you trade and how much. Phone service is excellent and the little non-browser app is highly functional (no bells and whistles). Preferred is in kind of a grey area between a full blown daytrading RTIII type system and online browser based discount broker. You're probably right about running the stops. Maybe I need something like Cybertrader in which you program the stops into your own computer.
