Thanks Sam. Do you have a URL handy for this article? I'm awaiting Storage Review's take on the 5120, due any time now. The $429 is the est retail price, so buy.com's price is not out of line. QNTM's new 6.8 gig platter product is indeed cheaper, but it won't be available till June or later--and even then, it won't be as cheap as the PR indicates, if they stay true to past form. It's also a 5400 rpm product. Still, the platter size is impressive. I bet it will be an excellent drive.
