csm In general I agree. But the Brazil thing has been quantified by Mason as perhaps 2 cents negative (although Neff last week confused this a bit by calling for a 3/4 cents combined Brazil devaluation and slow sales negative). Mason had originally said soft sales were 1 cent as far as the first six weeks were concerned. Most anlaysts have covered this with a total of 3-6 cents reduction from their previous estimates. We are looking not just to services but to high-end equipment, which has a higher margin than the PC's.

I cannot answer your question about tax - it took everybody by surprise last quarter. I assume there is still lots of credits, as well as greater cost-savings and other efficiencies to be enjoyed. But none of this will satisfy the Kumar-type of critic. They want to treat CPQ like a pure PC seller and will have to be hit between the eyes with actual earnings from other products and services.
