It is true that Americans enjoy a certain measure of security. I am not overconfident in that regard however. I am reminded on a daily basis of the increasing risk posed to the citizens of the United States in that we too may soon spiral down into a state of martial law and civil war. Race relations in the US continue to deteriorate at an unpredictable rate. I suppose the point I'm trying to assert here is that we must tend to our own problems before involving ourselves in another nation's civil war.

Gustave,

Reference "12 Monkeys"... the way I figure is we'll give more than we get, even if that means a few million innocent folks are caught in the middle.

Release bacteriological weapons in the US and watch entire nations instantly turned into obsidian-bottomed parking lots.

It will bring a whole new significance to the "Pave the Earth" society.

Call me a bit reactionary, but if I'm going to go, by god I'm going to take everyone else with me.

Hopefully, potential terrorists will realize the possibility of massive retaliation just may not be helpful to achieving their particular agenda.

Regards,

Ron
