<<LONDON, March 18 (Reuters) - British waiters will have to be able to
tell diners whether their food contains genetically modified soya or maize, under new rules announced on Thursday by food safety minister Jeff Rooker.>>

Dan - This curious story brings up another interesting question. How does one determine whether the soya is genetically modified or not? Is there a simple chemical test for this? Suppose the soya has been mixed with GM soya? Will restaurants in England be carrying DNA kits?

I'm not being facetious. Aside from the hysteria, is this really practical?
