Loral's pre-14A proxy statement is on the web. Interesting features: like last year, meeting is same time/place as G*s; management was given big (50%!) raises last year; there's a proposal to authorize an additional 20M shares of preferred stock.

Jeff, If it were up to me, every one on this thread would be getting G* memorial launch shirts. But, Mr. Schwartz has never met a cost that he liked, and there are no more being made. Not even for any of the upcoming launches. And, FWIW, the launches are going extremely well. Almost boring, even… Which can take some of the fun out of it. I don't call myself Mr. Adrenaline for nothing! Mr A

Jeff, let me "intercept" your post to Mr. A, if I might. Hendrix dates nobody, nohow, noway. Hendrix is Hendrix, whether you're 20 or 90. Besides, Mr. A ain't dated. Trust me. :-) OTOH, you are right on about the T-Shirts and party favors: Qualcomm handed them out like water and they were an enormous hit. The Mighty Q (I know you know this) followed the Q SI thread to the infamous building K after the shareholders' meeting. Mugs, cups, pens, t-shirts, posters--it was a hoot. [not there in person, but fellow threaders sent me the stuff in the mail. confirmed my wife's opinion of my insanity, but other than that it was terrific] Regards, Mike Doyle
