Hi Terry, The salt feels great in the wounds, thanks!! :-) Actually, I have some friends that own some of IDTI's conv. debs. and they'll be even more thrilled to see that news item.

I've used conv. debs in conjunction with the common stock in several investments in the past. Not with IDTI, however. I was looking for a deeper discount from face value before I'd plunk down any cash for the bonds. I'll have to take a look again at them. I've always enjoyed buying yield on the cheap. In the past I've tried to buy enough of the bond at a cheap enough price to give me an "average" yield on the investment in the bonds and common equal to current money market rates. In this case, I'd need to get an average yield around 4+%. That's not out of the question. I'll report more later.
