Does anyone know if Bid.com has a copyright on the slogan "shop naked"? Why would it appear on a banner with out their name? Did I read that message right?

Crazy, are you aware of any specific 'other offer' for Lycos? Based on everything out there USA Network is the buyer and CMGI is simply manoeuvring for more dollars. It's known as negotiating in the business.

>>Go North, stay current!
Do some research on CMGI's role, and the possible new offer for Lycos?

Crazy, following your recommendation I checked out the Lycos thread and low and behold I found the following. As you can see it isn't a bunch of 'hot air' and will ensure everyone is getting the correct information and not just some wishey washey speculation. Read it and you will understand there are real reasons for everything that happens.

Despite efforts by a major shareholder to line up competing buyout offers for Lycos, no one is expected to step forward
until after Lycos shareholders vote on the proposed USA Networks' acquisition offer.

That's because potential suitors do not want to pay a lot more for a buyout by triggering a termination agreement between USA
Networks and Lycos, according to a source familiar with the deal.
