MMV, it seems as if all of us crow eaters have another reprieve, as a matter of fact we may have a long reprieve. Triple witching after a "strong" week is usually down. But then was this so far a strong week?

Sure we are less than 3 points from 10,000, but all week long the high continues to contract (and today we had only 48 of these, and ), sure does not smell like a snorting bull to me.

And as I said in a different thread -- "But then, how does it all [whether or not the market is about to tank] matter to someone who bought MO 18 years ago at a split-adjusted $1.75 and is getting $1.75 per share every year now in dividends alone (not to mention capital appreciation all the way to $40), eh?!"

That's correct! Yep! No typos there! I know of a relative of mine who put $10,000 in MO and has seen his investment appreciate to over $230,000 in 18 years. And what's more important -- he is getting back his $10,000 every year now in the form of dividends (and probably a lot more in the future).

So, if I tell him that the market is going to go down by 20% or 30% or 50% today or tomorrow or whenever, he is quite likely to FART on my face! (And justifiably so, I may add! <G>)
