I made the mistake of buying CPQ almost two years ago. I sold after holding for three months at break even. At least I got out without a loss, which is not the same for alot of people I know. Then I found DELL. Just look at the 1 or 2 year charts, its hard not to love DELL over CPQ. I do know people have lost money in DELL (on the long side). I own DELL at many different points along its meteoric rise, but I do also own a little at 51 (102 pre-split). I do know several who bought in the 100s and are hanging on. Others, unfortunately, sold into the hysteria in February and took huge (IMO, unnecessary) losses. So, in the end not every DELL shareholder walks away a winner, only those who are patient will reap the rewards.
