Joe,

We broke out of that short 3.25 to 4 base quickly. TA speaking we first need to break and close above our 200 day MA in the high 4's and then we need to get over the 5 7/8 to 6 old support barrier.

Many institutions stay away from small caps until they make a significant move to the upside and break out to a new pattern. IMO in Vivus' case thats a break and close above the 200 day MA. Funds that can't get into stocks under $5.00 will then start participating in the support of Vivus. Also, small investors who want to leverage will be able to get in on margin.

I believe that tomorrow we just may see a close above the 200MA. There is still a lot of $ sitting on the side lines and the big caps of the DOW, S&P and NASDAQ are all over bought and over valuated.
IMO the money will start moving into the mid and small cap stocks as value plays and those which start to move will have the added power of momentum traders jumping in.

To put things into proper perspective just remember that some here are getting a little excited about the recent stock action and yet we are still significantly below the 1994 daily average when Vivus first traded on the NASDAQ and MUSE was nothing more than a mental concept!

We have a long ways to go for redemption.

I will start to get excited once Vivus gets back above double digits which is where it belongs anyway.

The insider buying activity has finally been put up on Yahoo:

biz.yahoo.com

If the MUSE "promise" allowed Vivus to trade above 20 in 1996 before a single unit of product was sold I see no reason why the female SD cream "promise" can't allow for the same except this time we also have the guarantee of product income from MUSE sales and eventually Alibra sales.

Stock is still a joke under $10 but sooner or later the deep pockets against Vivus will realize that there will be no money to be made shorting on strength.
