Beuatiful move by Philip Morris today. No better solution to cleanse the sour taste from the L.A. case, then a beautiful victory today. At least we still have jurors out there with common sense. Lets just hope that those in Miami will be of a similar mindset. Go MO!!! BTW, I'm a student at UW-Madison, an incredibly leftist leaning campus. .. arghhh. Just read an editorial, created by the editorial board, in our main student newspaper. . . ripping on UW Madison for its investments in Unocal, and Philip Morris. . . went as far as to state "Philip Morris represents nothing good about America, or Wisconsin." What a bunch of bologna. Use of tobacco has occured for millenia. . . and adverse health effects have been noted since the EARLY 1600's, by a British royal commission. Philip Morris is merely providing a supply for the age old demand, and its the miserable lack of self-responsibilty that is pervading this country that is hurting the company. The editorial was so meaningless. . Philip Morris representing nothing good about Wisconsin? Even if they have an inherant problem with cigarettes. . . the beer and meat industries (Miller, and Oscar Mayer) are a HUGE part of Wisconsin's heritage. The imbeciles. Go MO!!!
